Purpose: One of the best ways to get community service hours is to join Key Club. Key Club work in partnership with our local Kiwanis clubs to help high school students make a positive impact in their schools and communities. Key Club members are provided with many volunteer opportunities and can form lasting friendships along the way! High school student members of Key Club perform acts of service in their school and communities, such as cleaning up parks, collecting clothing and organizing food drives. Purpose: Service Leadership Society (SLS) is a club for students to explore meaningful public policy topics, conduct research, form opinions, and develop a “bill” to address the selected public policy issue. Throughout the bill design process, students will learn the intricacies of Texas’ legislative process including how a bill becomes law. During the spring semester, SLS clubs gather for a state conference to present bill drafts to their peers and have the opportunity to debate and vote on all bills. Using the Capitol setting as a “living classroom,” the student led, student driven program promotes awareness to the political process, creates a more politically astute student body, and develops constructive solutions to issues that impact local communities while engaging stakeholders in government. Throughout the year, participants meet weekly to sharpen their research skills, form arguments for and against a solution, and practice public speaking skills. SLS clubs also host elected officials and their staff to learn more about careers in public service and the legislative process.

Purpose: A school yearbook is essentially a “memory book” that highlights the students, teachers and events of the school year. A yearbook also gives students the opportunity to ask their friends and teachers for their autographs and allows them to add comments, “inside jokes” or other personal messages. When all’s said and done, a yearbook allows students to have a physical reminder of the school year. A traditional yearbook should include a few pages for the school administrators, faculty & other staff members, class or student portraits, several pages for clubs, teams or other group photos, a section for special awards & superlatives, event pages usually containing a collage of school events, and graduating class coverage.

Purpose: Meaningful Interactions and Social Knowledge To develop citizenship, leadership, responsibility and life skills of youth through experiential learning programs and service projects. MISK provides a positive development approach for the youth in our community where students can interact with others who share similar heritages and hardships. With these interactions students will foster acts of services for our community to build their leadership skills while embracing their identities amongst one another through: clothing drives that they will organize and sort, volunteer at the senior center, host food drives, galas for fundraisers where we will host social interaction events in which students can embrace each other's social differences on a biweekly basis.

Overview of the Club:
It provides an opportunity for students to meet other students who share the same
hobby and work together and share ideas with each other to improve their skills.
The club will basically help them get acquainted with the level of details and
properties of an object and decide on the best way to produce that part of the scaled

preparation for engineering or architecture courses in college.
