HSI -Katy Graduation Update

Congrats Class of 2020,

 

Our campus will be having a Drive-Thru Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, June 13th at 2pm in the Parking Lot of our neighboring Harmony Science Academy – Katy. More information regarding logistics of the ceremony will be provided in the days leading up to the graduation. 

 

Additionally, our campus will continue to hold our Virtual Graduation Ceremony with our partner company Herff Jones. The virtual ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 20th at 12pm. The graduation will be hosted on Youtube Premier and a link will be provided to all students, parents, faculty, and staff.

AP Course Selection Night Virtual Meeting

Dear Parents, 
 
Please find this post as an extended invitation for you and your child to join us tomorrow Wednesday, May 13th to AP Course Zoom Meeting at 4 pm-6 pm.
 
In this meeting, we will discuss the student AP Courses for the 2020 – 2021 academic school year. 
  • How do you know which courses your student is taking the next academic school year? – Your student will be receiving an email with his/her schedule stating the courses they will take.
  • Will I need specific information in order to join this zoom meeting tomorrow? Yes, you will need the links for each AP course meeting as well as the passwords to join the meetings. Please find the details attached to this email for your reference. 
  • What time does the meeting start? Meetings will begin at 4 pm and end by 6 pm. 
  • Where can I find the details of each course? Please see the link below, this link will direct you to view details of all courses HSI-Katy is offering. 
Parents, please have your questions ready for tomorrow’s zoom meeting, also please make sure to check your student’s email as our counselor team is sending out the 2020 – 2021 schedules to all students.

College Board has released updated information about AP Exams.  For the most accurate and up-to-date information, please visit:

Updates for AP Students Affected by Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Main Points:

  • Exams will be given May 11-22
  • Each subject exam will be taken on the same day at the same time worldwide.
  • Digital Portfolios for Art and Computer Science Principles are due May 26, 2020, 10:59 p.m.
  • Students must have a working email address in their College Board accounts as this is how exams will be delivered
  • Exams are 45 minutes, all free responses
  • Students can either type responses or handwrite and take a picture to send in
  • Students can use their books and/or notes on the exam
  • Accommodations are built in
  • Colleges will still accept the scores on these exams as indicated prior to these changes
